25 037 leading 25 201 stand at Pwllheli having worked 'The Snowdonian II' from Wolverhampton on 24th August 1986. This was a re-run of F&W's first ever tour which was in 1973, the occasion being the Company's 100th tour. A ban on locomotive hauled trains crossing Barmouth Bridge had only recently been lifted. With only a month before the final tour to and from London Euston this was the last time Class 25 traversed their old stamping ground - the Cambrian.

The Rat Roadshow commemorated the occasion as the official headboard from 1984 made an appearance. This was measured up in Derby Locomotive works using 25 320 as a pattern! A bracket from an old tail lamp made sure the board never parted company with the 25!

Now known as Pathfinder the 'Rylstone Cowboy' of 27th October 1990 featured the newly reinstated 25 322 from Stockport - Skipton - Rylstone - Skipton - Morecambe and on to Heysham harbour. Unfortunately nobody had told Stockport signal box that we were actually wanting to board the tour! Here 47 826 (formerly 47 637, 47 274) is about to hand over to the baby Sulzer. we were duly escorted across the tracks before departure, those Mark 1s are flippin' high!!!
