In October 1986 following deregulation a reserve fleet was established. Some 4 years later here is 216 still with National Bus Company livery. The vehicle was not to run with Trent again as it was by this point being prepared for sale. In the background can be seen a withdrawn Bristol RELH No. 287
Another example still carrying Poppy Red was 218 seen here during September 1989 shortly before a repaint into Trent Buses livery.
