751-133

The Czech Republic features two types of locomotive powered by a 6 cylinder engine which produces sounds like BR Sulzer Type 2 and/or Class 37 locomotives!

749-248 just under the last 3 minutes of the steep climb into Ramzova with 6 coaches in tow [File size 1.4MB] (Feb 2004)

751-032 idling [File size 718kb] (Aug 2003)

751-032 leaving Most [File size 709kb] (Aug 2003)

751-017 leaving Vrane (platform recording) [File Size 460kb] (Aug 2003)

This engine is outrageously LOOD!!

Undoubtedly a star turn in terms of the sheer volume of thrash is 25235. HERE is a sample from a recording made at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway when this resident of the excellent Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway was paying a visit. (File size 670kb)

Still very much a star turn here are a couple of samples recorded from the back cab (cheers chaps!!) during the May 2003 Gala at Bo'ness starting HERE with a clip before and after a road overbridge [File size 816kb]

And HERE is an excellent clip as 235 ascends the hill towards Kinneil, note in particular the turbocharger 'winding down' [File size 934kb]

25278 at Grosmont with the 10:50 for Pickering of Saturday 5th July 2003

In very good running (and sounding) order 25278 recovers from a speed restriction during the climb from Grosmont to Goathland on 5th July 2003 [File size 880kb]

Citybus 2548 in Belfast. January 2003

This recording is of Citybus (Belfast) Bristol RELL6G No 2562 (BXI 2562) during a special run on Sunday 12th January 2003 (File size 737kb)
