Moving to the South end here is a view of 9 shop 1 bay. 15th February 2006.

In this view both outer bays are visible with all that stood between them consigned to both history and the memories of the thousands who would have worked within over the years.

An interesting view looking at where 8 shop 1 bay once stood - arched brickwork is clearly visible in the centre of the picture. Underneath most shops on the 'top yard' were a network of vaults, those accessible in the 1980s generally ran in line with the edge of each bay and were used by staff for their meal breaks.
