509 (ACH 509T) is seen at the University of Derby Mickleover site ready to work service 5 to the Kedleston Road site. These services are now operated using Dennis Lance vehicles. 509 was stored out of use prior to it's sale to Littlebus of Nottingham with whom it sees daily use.

The Blue Apple fleet covers a very wide area of operation, the Leyland Nationals run up quite a respectable mileage. 511 (ACH 511T) is seen between duties at the Safeway superstore at Gamston which is just East of Nottingham.

512 basks in the afternoon sun in the Wilford district of Nottingham. The vehicle suffered relatively minor rear end damage and is now stored out of service.

The National is of all steel build. After many years of salt and more, corrosion does set in. This was the case with 513 (ACH 513T). During annual test preparation it was deemed uneconomic to repair and was withdrawn. The vehicle has languished at Derby depot providing gifts for the rest of the Blue Apple fleet (a "Christmas Tree" !!) for some considerable time before removal for scrapping
