Major reconstruction work is taking place at Usti nad Labem. This is the view just to the north of the station.
Usti station is currently reduced to just two platforms and the bay has been reconstructed. Here it is occupied by 163-096. Beyond the buffer stops is a sheer drop (!!)
Many engineering trains are now in the hands of private operators most of whom use former CD locos. The old order is still evident though in this view of 751-219 on 10th July 2006.
Major work is also in progress along the electrified route out of Praha to Cercany and Ceske Budejovice. Here is a view of some rather randomly loaded track panels.
