25229 and 25076 trundle past 33021 at Shrewsbury whilst running round the 07:35 Euston - Aberystwyth of 3rd September 1983. During the summer timetable of this year 229 caused havoc along the Cambrian after numerous failures. This day was no exception as the duo would only reach Sutton Bridge Junction before 229 gave up. The train was rescued by 25119 + 25234.
